What a beautiful building, inside and out. An architectural triumph! I had the honour of stepping inside one of the apartments many years ago, it was huge and even had servants quarters. High ceilings, vast space, en suite bathroom . Very ahead of its time, or that was probably added later. Massive bedrooms. I suspect if it gets into the hands of a property developer, it will be chopped up and ruined. I think monuments like this should be left alone, as with a lot of the seafront properties, they only need a little tlc. I can't imagine what it must have been like, with the ladies in all their finery and the gents looking dapper in their evening dress, cloaks and top hats. All the same, we have some great architecture in Hastings and in the whole of the country and anyone interested should take a good look.
