Thanks to Judges Postcards for the image

From mid-1950s to mid-1960s the local Dolphin Jazzband, with which I was the clarinettist, played twice a week during the summer seasons to packed audiences comprised of local teenagers and foreign students who came on courses to the town. We would take an upright piano down there, but it was very damp in the inner caves, and the piano quickly went out of tune and was broken up !
German TV came down one year and filmed the band, and although we never saw the film, one of our fans was in Germany on holiday, went into a cinema because it was a wet day, and was thrilled to see the Dolphin Jazzband film !

I worked as a guide in the caves for six years until they stopped tours and changed the layout.
