on 14 May 2024 John Hickman said My first visit to Redfearn’s would have been in 1951 or 1952, and I continued buying tackle and bait from them until I left Hastings in 1972. I bought a Chapman 500 Avon Rod from them in 1962 – and still have it. There were three in the shop, including, I think two sisters. Really nice people. I have great memories of Buckshole reservoir, Harmers, the Rother at Robertsbridge and Junction Road, the River Brede, Normanhurst and Powdermill lakes.
