on 23 Sep 2013 Gerry Glyde said This card of the bathing pool with the band in the foreground is dated July 1933 and the sender wrote to her grandson
"we went to this new bathing pool yesterday. It is quite an entertainment to sit and watch them swimming"
They were obviously easily pleased in those days!
