on 11 Apr 2020 Roy Penfold said A volunteer who has been helping transcribe the Brett Manuscript Histories has just covered (albeit briefly) the construction of Stanhope Place in 1851 by a railway constructor by the name of Smith, together with on-going issues in subsequent years with the drainage at these links:
